Originally formed in 2013 by two school friends, Bournemouth quartet CAPULUS are set to make their bid for the melodic rock throne in 2021! This process begins now, as the band welcome the release of their gorgeous standalone single, 'All That I Am'.

Available to stream and download now, 'All That I Am' conjures a colourful, ballad-esque rock epic of dreamy, penetrating vocal melodies paired with stadium-quality instrumentation - a combination that will undoubtedly call to mind the likes of Alter Bridge, Foo Fighters and Muse. It also marks the third single from the young quartet, following 2019's ‘Apologies’ and ‘Resist’, which came out earlier this year in March.

Perhaps most importantly, however, is that the release of 'All That I Am' marks a turning point for the band as they enter the studio to record their as-yet-unnamed debut EP. Scheduled for release in early 2021, the sheer scale and authenticity of Capulus’ music is guaranteed to garner attention. Despite being a "softer" offering from the band, 'All That I Am' offers both fans and newcomers a tantalising glimpse of that which is yet to come.
Best described as story-tellers, Capulus seek to invoke a variety of emotions painted with both personal experience and observations of the world around them. Recorded at HP Studios and featuring guest bass tracking from The Hoosiers' Leighton Allen, 'All That I Am' depicts a progressively toxic relationship in which the antagonist takes their partner for granted, under the illusion that they are untouchable.
"The song may be written from the perspective of the abuser, but it is the victim's story that's really being told", comments Vaughan on the band's latest single. "As the song progresses, the victim finds strength, choosing no longer to accept the antagonist's actions or allow them to carry on abusing them, eventually leaving them to face reality and deal with what they have become."
"We wanted to write a song similar in structure to that of a You Me at Six song, as they had been a band myself and Tom had been listening to quite a bit in previous weeks", continues Vaughan, detailing the creative process behind their latest track. "The song itself was born relatively quickly - in a matter of hours - and just seem to come together itself. It's an amazing feeling when a track just comes together naturally, and this was certainly one of those."
Capulus' latest single 'All That I Am' is available to stream and download now via BandCamp. Further details of their debut EP will arrive in 2021, and you can stay informed via the band's website.
